Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary on Monday told National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets that true leaders empower those around them and their influence extends far beyond the parade ground. He urged the cadets to join the armed forces and live a life of "unity and discipline". Addressing cadets at the NCC Republic Day Camp 2024 here, Air Force Chief Choudhary said Republic Day is a "reminder of the struggles, sacrifices and aspirations" that have shaped India's journey as a democratic republic. The Republic Day Camp 2024 was inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on January 5. It will end on January 28. He said, "As the premier youth organization of our country, the National Cadet Corps has made a significant contribution in transforming the lives of millions of people by developing the qualities of discipline, leadership, camaraderie, team spirit, courage and national integration." NCC Director General Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh was also present on this occasion. Singh said that a total of 2,274 cadets will participate in the NCC Republic Day Camp 2024, in which the participation of women cadets will increase.

वायुसेना प्रमुख एयर चीफ मार्शल वी आर चौधरी ने सोमवार को राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर (एनसीसी) के कैडेट से कहा कि सच्चे नेता अपने आसपास के लोगों को सशक्त बनाते हैं और उनका प्रभाव परेड मैदान से कहीं आगे तक फैलता है. उन्होंने कैडेट से सशस्त्र बलों में शामिल होने और ‘‘एकता एवं अनुशासन'' का जीवन जीने का आग्रह किया. वायुसेना प्रमुख चौधरी ने यहां एनसीसी गणतंत्र दिवस- शिविर 2024 में कैडेट को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि गणतंत्र दिवस ‘‘संघर्षों, बलिदानों और आकांक्षाओं की याद दिलाता है'' जिसने एक लोकतांत्रिक गणराज्य के रूप में भारत की यात्रा को आकार दिया है. गणतंत्र दिवस- शिविर 2024 का उद्घाटन पांच जनवरी को उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने किया था. इसका समापन 28 जनवरी को होगा. उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘हमारे देश के प्रमुख युवा संगठन के रूप में, राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर ने अनुशासन, नेतृत्व, सौहार्द, टीम भावना, साहस और राष्ट्रीय एकता की गुणवत्ता को विकसित करके लाखों लोगों के जीवन को बदलने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है.'' इस अवसर पर एनसीसी महानिदेशक लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरबीरपाल सिंह भी मौजूद थे. सिंह ने कहा कि एनसीसी गणतंत्र दिवस शिविर 2024 में कुल 2,274 कैडेट हिस्सा लेंगे, जिसमें महिला कैडेट की भागीदारी बढ़ेगी.
