Despite protests from a few political parties, the Lok Sabha on Thursday passed the Bill that makes triple talaq a criminal offence. However, most of the opposing parties argued that the Bill has legal flaws and is being passed in a haste. The proposed law will adjudicate all cases of instant triple talaq across the country except Jammu and Kashmir.
