Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi said on Monday that she has asked the Law Ministry to ratify the demand to dismiss the statute of limitation for complaints relating to child sexual abuse. Also, after Tanushree Dutta's allegations against Nana Patekar came into the limelight, she has expressed happiness at the beginning of 'Me Too' campaign in India. She said that women always remember the incidents of sexual harassment, so they can register complaints even after 10-15 years or anytime.

महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री मेनका गांधी ने सोमवार को कहा कि उन्होंने कानून मंत्रालय से बाल यौन शोषण सम्बंधित शिकायतों के लिए समय सीमा के क़ानून को खारिज करने की मांग को मंज़ूर करने के लिए कहा है। साथ ही, तनुश्री दत्ता द्वारा नाना पाटेकर पर लगाए आरोपों के चर्चा में आने के बाद उन्होंने भारत में 'मी टू' अभियान के शुरू होने पर खुशी जताई है। उन्होंने कहा की यौन उत्पीड़न की घटना महिलाओं को हमेशा याद रहती हैं इसलिए वे 10-15 साल बाद या कभी भी शिकायत दर्ज करा सकती हैं।
