In its first decision of its second tenure, the Narendra Modi government has enhanced the amount to be paid as part of ‘Prime Ministers Scholarship Scheme’ under the National Defence Fund. The rates of scholarship have been increased from Rs. 2,000 per month to Rs. 2,500 per month for boys and from Rs. 2,250 per month to Rs. 3,000 per month for girls. The ambit of the scholarship scheme has also been extended to the wards of State police personnel who “were martyred during terror/naxal attacks”.The quota of new scholarships for wards of State police personnel will be 500 in a year.
अपने दूसरे कार्यकाल के पहले फैसले में, नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय रक्षा निधि के तहत प्रधान मंत्री छात्रवृत्ति योजना ’के हिस्से के रूप में दी जाने वाली राशि को बढ़ाया है।छात्रवृत्ति की दरों में लड़कों के लिए प्रति माह 2,000 से 2,250 रुपये प्रति माह की वृद्धि और लड़कियों के लिए 2,250 से 3,000 रुपये की वृद्धि की गई हैं। छात्रवृत्ति योजना के दायरे को राज्य पुलिस कर्मियों के वार्डों तक भी विस्तारित किया गया है, जो "आतंक/नक्सली हमलों के दौरान शहीद हो गए थे"। राज्य पुलिस कर्मियों के वार्डों के लिए नई छात्रवृत्ति का कोटा एक वर्ष में 500 होगा।
