The Meteorological Department has said that this year the monsoon will be normal. This year there will be 96 percent (+/-5%) monsoon. This year there will be 83.7 mm of rain across the country. El-Nino condition may remain around July. There will be no direct relation of El-Nino with Monsoon. Surface warming near Peru in the Pacific Ocean is called El Nino. Due to El Nino, there is a change in the temperature of the sea and the atmosphere. Due to the change, the temperature of the ocean increases by 4-5 degrees. Due to El Nino, the weather of the whole world is affected. On the monsoon forecast for the year 2023, Dr. M. Mohapatra, Director General of the Meteorological Center told NDTV that we have issued a forecast of rain in different regions. For example, there is a possibility of less than normal rainfall in Rajasthan, Western Uttar Pradesh and Western Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, there is a possibility of more rain than normal in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, parts of Uttarakhand as well as in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.

मौसम विभाग ने कहा है कि इस साल मॉनसून सामान्य रहेगा. इस साल 96 प्रतिशत (+/-5% ) मॉनसून रहेगा.इस साल देशभर में 83.7 मिलीमीटर बारिश होगी. जुलाई के आसपास एल-नीनो कंडीशन रह सकती है. मॉनसून के साथ एल-नीनो का सीधा संबंध नहीं रहेगा. प्रशांत महासगार में पेरू के पास सतह का गर्म होना अल नीनो कहलाता है. अल नीनो की वजह से समंदर के तापमान, वायुमंडल में बदलाव होता है. बदलाव की वजह से समंदर का तापमान 4-5 डिग्री तक बढ़ जाता है. अल नीनो की वजह से पूरी दुनिया के मौसम पर असर पड़ता है. साल 2023 के लिए मानसून पूर्वानुमान पर एनडीटीवी से मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र के महानिदेशक डॉ. एम महापात्रा ने कहा कि हमने अलग-अलग रीजन में बारिश का पूर्वानुमान जारी किया है. जैसे राजस्‍थान, पश्चिमी उत्‍तर प्रदेश और पश्चिमी मध्‍य प्रदेश में सामान्‍य से कम बारिश होने की संभावना है.  वहीं, पंजाब, हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड के कुछ हिस्सों के साथ-साथ जम्मू कश्मीर और लद्दाख में सामान्‍य से अधिक बारिश होने की संभावना है.
