The National Company Law Tribunal dismissed the plea of Cyrus Mistry challenging his sacking as Chairman of Tata Sons. In October 2016, Mistry was ousted from the post of Tata Sons Chairman. He approached the NCLT two months later and alleged Tata Sons of oppression and mismanagement. The tribunal on Monday said it does not accept Mistry’s contentions that his removal was due to the result of mismanagement by the board and observed that Mistry's conduct does not augur-well for the smooth functioning of Tata Sons.
