Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra will start his 2025 athletics season at the Doha Diamond League on May 16, marking his third straight appearance at the event. Chopra, who won in Doha in 2023 with a throw of 88.67m, expressed excitement about performing again in front of the enthusiastic Indian crowd in Qatar. 

He credited his fans for their continuous support and highlighted his focus on consistency rather than chasing big distances. Currently training under Czech legend Jan Železný, Chopra is working on refining his technique for a strong season ahead.
