The widely-consumed noodles once again came back into controversy after the manufacturing company- Nestle admitted the presence of lead in the noodles. However, it has argued that the lead was within the permissible limit. The Supreme Court revived action suit against Nestle initiated by NCDRC for the presence of lead content in the noodles. Responding to this, Nestlé India in its press release mentioned that it welcomes the orders passed by Honourable Supreme Court in noodles matter.
