North Korea and South Korea want to host the 2032 Olympics together despite having no sweetness in mutual relations. A major statement related to this came after South Korea said it had signed a joint claim with the North Korean capital of Pyongyang to co-host the 2032 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games. In late 2018, South Korean President Moon Jae In and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un agreed to work towards the joint Olympic bid during a summit. But soon the relations between the two countries soured and it seemed that the joint bidding would not take place. However, the International Olympic Committee is reportedly keen to host the games in the Australian city of Brisbane.
