The internecine battle within the CBI reached the doorsteps of the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday when agency DIG Manish Kumar Sinha, moving a petition in the Supreme Court, alleged that National Security Adviser Ajit Doval interfered in investigations against Special Director Rakesh Asthana. Mentioning his plea before the bench of Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and Justices S K Kaul and K M Joseph, Sinha sought urgent hearing of his petition but it was declined. Claiming that his subsequent transfer to Nagpur was the fallout of the investigation against Asthana which he was overseeing, Sinha sought that the transfer order be quashed.

सीबीआई के भीतर आंतरिक लड़ाई सोमवार को प्रधान मंत्री कार्यालय के दरवाजे पर पहुंची जब एजेंसी डीआईजी मनीष कुमार सिन्हा ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दायर करते हुए आरोप लगाया कि राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार अजीत डोवाल ने विशेष निदेशक राकेश अस्थाना के खिलाफ जांच में दखल दिया। भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश रंजन गोगोई और जस्टिस एस के कौल और के एम जोसेफ की पीठ के समक्ष अपनी याचिका का उल्लेख करते हुए सिन्हा ने तत्काल सुनवाई की मांग की लेकिन यह अस्वीकार कर दी गई। यह दावा करते हुए कि नागपुर में उनका अगला स्थानांतरण अस्थाना के खिलाफ जांच का   था,नतीजा जिस पर वह नज़र रख रहे थे, सिन्हा ने मांग की कि ट्रान्सफर आदेश रद्द किया जाये।
