Due to the heavy rains in Mumbai, many low-lying areas were flooded, on the streets of King Circle, about 2 feet of water had accumulated. Apart from this, there was water logging in Hindmata, Sion, Matunga, Khar subways. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the city of Mumbai received more than 230 mm of rainfall in 10 hours. Mumbai received heavy rainfall on Monday as the monsoon became active over the Arabian Sea. Due to heavy rains, rail traffic stopped on all 4 lines in Mumbai, due to which the service of Mumbai Local was stopped. In view of the threat of heavy rains, the routes of buses were changed on 8 routes in Mumbai and arrangements were made to divert them to other routes. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was ordered to close all offices and other establishments except emergency services in view of the forecast of heavy rains.

मुंबई में ज़ोरदार बारिश के चलते कई निचले इलाके में पानी भर गया, किंग सर्कल की सड़कों पर तो करीब 2 फीट तक पानी जमा हो गया था। इसके अलावा, हिंदमाता, सायन, माटुंगा, खार सबवे में भी जलजमाव रहा। बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम के अनुसार, मुंबई शहर में 10 घंटों में 230 मिमी से अधिक वर्षा दर्ज की गई।अरब सागर के ऊपर मानसून के सक्रिय होने से सोमवार को भी मुंबई में जबरदस्त बारिश हुई थी।  भारी बारिश के कारण मुंबई में सभी 4 लाइनों पर रेल यातायात रुक गयी जिसकी वजह से  मुंबई लोकल की सर्विस ठप हो गई। भारी बारिश के खतरे को देखते हुए मुंबई में 8 मार्गों पर बसों का रास्ता बदला दिया गया और उन्हें मोड़ कर दूसरे रास्तों से चलाने की व्यवस्था की गई।  बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम (बीएमसी) ने भारी बारिश के पूर्वानुमान के मद्देनजर आपातकालीन सेवाओं को छोड़कर सभी कार्यालयों और अन्य प्रतिष्ठानों को बंद रखने का आदेश दिया गया था।
