Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced an award of Rs 1 crore to each player of the Indian hockey team for winning the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup. Patnaik (Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik), who was on a tour of Rourkela, also inaugurated the 'World Cup Village' in the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium complex. The World Cup village has been built in a record nine months. It has 225 rooms with all the facilities as per the level of Hockey World Cup. Teams and officials of the upcoming Hockey World Cup will be in the World Cup Village. On this occasion, the Chief Minister interacted with the national men's hockey team staying at the World Cup village. ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने FIH पुरुष हॉकी वर्ल्ड कप जीतने पर भारतीय टीम (Indian Hockey Team) के हर खिलाड़ी एक करोड़ रुपये का पुरस्कार देने की गुरुवार को घोषणा की. राउरकेला के दौरे पर आये पटनायक (Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik) ने बिरसा मुंडा हॉकी स्टेडियम परिसर में ‘विश्व कप गांव' का भी उद्घाटन किया. वर्ल्ड कप गांव को रिकॉर्ड नौ महीने के अंदर तैयार किया गया है. इसमें हॉकी वर्ल्ड कप (Hockey World Cup) के स्तर के अनुरूप सभी सुविधाओं के साथ 225 कमरे हैं. वर्ल्ड कप गांव (World Cup Village) में आगामी हॉकी वर्ल्ड कप की टीमें और अधिकारी रहेंगे. इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री (Odisha Chief Minister) ने वर्ल्ड कप गांव में ठहरी राष्ट्रीय पुरुष हॉकी टीम से बातचीत की. पटनायक ने कहा, “अगर हमारा देश विश्व कप जीतता है तो भारतीय टीम के प्रत्येक खिलाड़ी को एक करोड़ रुपये का इनाम दिया जाएगा. मैं टीम इंडिया को शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ और उम्मीद करता हूं कि वे चैंपियन बनकर उभरें.”
