Kishore Mankar, a teacher who teaches at Zilla Parishad Primary School in Maharashtra's Ganeshpur village, says that there is only one student in the school for the last two years. It is surprising to know that only one child grows up in the whole school. Actually, this school is located 22 km away from Washim district of Maharashtra. Assuming that the population of Ganeshpur is only 150. Kishore Mankar told that he has been teaching in this school for the last two years. He comes everyday on his bike and leaves after teaching only one child. He says, "I am the only teacher in the school. For the last two years there is only one teacher in the school. I am teaching during this period. During this time we follow all the rules. Come to the school at 10:30 in the morning. And stay till 12 noon. Mankar tells that there is prayer every morning in the school. There is also the national anthem. However, during this time there is only one student in the school apart from me. I raise all subjects to this student. All the facilities provided by the government are made available in this school. Mid-day meal is also given to the students in the school.
महाराष्ट्र के गणेशपुर गांव में जिला परिषद प्राथमिक विद्यालय में पढ़ाने वाले टीचर किशोर मानकर का कहना है कि स्कूल में पिछले दो वर्षों से केवल एक छात्र है. ये जानकार बड़ी हैरानी होती है कि पूरे स्कूल में सिर्फ एक ही बच्चा बढ़ता है. दरअसल, ये विद्यालय महाराष्ट्र के वाशिम जिले से 22 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित है. मानकर बताते हैं कि गणेशपुर की आबादी महज 150 है. किशोर मानकर ने बताया कि वह पिछले दो साल से इस स्कूल में पढ़ा रहे हैं. वह प्रतिदिन अपनी मोटर साइकिल पर आते हैं और सिर्फ एक बच्चे को पढ़ाकर चले जाते हैं. वह कहते है, "मैं स्कूल में एकमात्र शिक्षक हूं. पिछले दो सालों से स्कूल में केवल एक शिक्षक है. मैं इस अवधि के दौरान पढ़ा रहा हूं. इस दौरान हम सभी नियमों का पालन करते हैं. सुबह साढ़े दस आते स्कूल में आते हैं और दोपहर 12 बजे तक रहते हैं." मानकर बताते हैं कि हर रोज सुबह स्कूल में प्रार्थना होती है. राष्ट्रगान भी होता है. हालांकि, इस दौरान स्कूल में मेरे अलावा सिर्फ एक छात्र होता है. मैं इस छात्र को सभी विषयों को बढ़ाता हूं. इस विद्यालय में सरकार द्वारा दी जाने वाली सभी सुविधाओं को उपलब्ध कराया जाता है. छात्र को स्कूल में मिड-डे मील भी दिया जाता है.
