In the wake of the devastating earthquake in North-Western Syria, the Government of India has sent 6 tonnes of emergency relief aid to Syria through a special Indian Air Force aircraft. The consignment was handed over to Syria's Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Mutaz Douzi, at Damascus airport this morning. The consignment includes emergency medicines and equipment including portable ECG machines, patient monitors and other essential medical items. India has been providing humanitarian, technical and developmental assistance to Syria through bilateral and multilateral channels over the years. consignments of food and medicines have been supplied to Syria from time to time, including during the epidemic.

उत्तर-पश्चिमी सीरिया में आए भयानक भूकंप के मद्देनजर भारत सरकार ने सीरिया के लिए भारतीय वायु सेना के एक विशेष विमान के माध्यम से 6 टन आपातकालीन राहत सहायता भेजी है. यह खेप आज सुबह दमिश्क हवाई अड्डे पर सीरिया के स्थानीय प्रशासन और पर्यावरण उपमंत्री मुताज़ डौजी को सौंपी गई. इस खेप में पोर्टेबल ईसीजी मशीन, रोगी मॉनिटर और अन्य आवश्यक चिकित्सा वस्तुओं सहित आपातकालीन दवाएं और उपकरण शामिल हैं.  भारत वर्षों से द्विपक्षीय और बहुपक्षीय चैनलों के माध्यम से सीरिया को मानवीय, तकनीकी और विकासात्मक सहायता प्रदान करता रहा है. महामारी के दौरान सहित समय-समय पर सीरिया को भोजन और दवाओं की खेपों की आपूर्ति की गई है
