Parents acquitted in Aarushi murder case

Parents acquitted in Aarushi murder case

The Allahabad High Court on Thursday acquitted Rajesh and Nupur Talwar and quashed their conviction in the murder case of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj. Stating that there was no cogent evidence that the Aarushi's parents are guilty of the murders, the court said the “benefit of doubt” in the case goes in their favour of the Talwar couple.
