In order to rein in the rising fuel prices, Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy on Monday announced a cut in the cost of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre. Earlier this month, Andhra Pradesh has reduced fuel prices by Rs 2 per litre, while Rajasthan has cut prices by Rs 2.5 per litre. Fuel prices have also been reduced by 1 rupee in West Bengal. In the past few days, the fuel prices have continuously skyrocketed which has created a political stir across the nation.
