Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday received the prestigious Seoul Peace Prize for 2018 for his contribution to international cooperation and fostering global economic growth. The award was presented to him by the Seoul Peace Prize Foundation at a grand ceremony. While conferring the award on Modi, the award committee recognised his contribution to the growth of Indian and global economies. The committee also credited him for his contribution toward reginal and global peace through a proactive policy with countries around the world. Modi is the 14th recepient of the award. The Seoul Peace Prize was established in 1990 to commemorate the success of the 24th Olympic Games held in Seoul.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शुक्रवार को अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग में योगदान और वैश्विक आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 2018 के लिए प्रतिष्ठित सियोल शांति पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया। यह पुरस्कार उन्हें सियोल पीस प्राइज फाउंडेशन द्वारा एक भव्य समारोह में प्रदान किया गया था। मोदी को पुरस्कार प्रदान करते हुए, पुरस्कार समिति ने भारतीय और वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था के विकास में उनके योगदान को मान्यता दी। समिति ने उन्हें दुनिया भर के देशों के साथ एक अग्रसक्रिय नीति के माध्यम से नियमित और वैश्विक शांति के लिए उनके योगदान के लिए श्रेय दिया। मोदी पुरस्कार के 14 वें प्राप्तकर्ता हैं। सियोल में आयोजित 24 वें ओलंपिक खेलों की सफलता को स्मरण करने के  लिये 1990 में सियोल शांति पुरस्कार की स्थापना की गई थी।
