The Bombay High Court has set aside the governor's sanction to prosecute former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan in the Adarsh housing society scam case. Chavan had challenged the governor's order in the HC, calling it “arbitrary, illegal and unjust” and "passed with malafide intentions“. After the court's order, he said, "I had full faith in the judiciary and truth has prevailed."

बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने आदर्श सोसायटी घोटाला मामले में कांग्रेस नेता और महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अशोक चव्हाण पर केस चलाने की अनुमति देने वाले राज्यपाल के आदेश को खारिज कर दिया है। चव्हाण ने राज्यपाल के आदेश को "एकपक्षीय, अवैध और अन्यायपूर्ण" व "दुर्भावनापूर्ण इरादों के साथ पारित किया हुआ" बताते हुए  हाईकोर्ट में चुनौती दी थी।न्यायालय के आदेश के बाद उन्होंने कहा, "मुझे न्यायपालिका पर पूर्ण विश्वास था और सत्य की जीत हुई"।
