Rajma Chawal explores the changing means of communication with the influence of social media and how it becomes even more challenging for an already strained relationship between a father (Rishi Kapoor) and son (Anirudh Tanwar) to stabilise. “The themes  in Rajma Chawal are the generation gap, the changing modes of communication, the role of social media and there’s also a love story in it,” says Yadav. The best thing about the film is Rishi Kapoor's earnest performance as a father who's trying his best to bridge the communication gap with his son, after his wife passes away.
