The CBI arrested Rotomac Pens owner Vikram Kothari and his son Rahul for allegedly cheating a consortium of public sector banks of Rs 3,695 crore. CBI sources said that the Kotharis were arrested after three days of extensive questioning as they refused to explain the used to befool the banks and how they used the money after getting it in their bank accounts.

सीबीआई ने 3,695 करोड़ रुपये के सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों के संघ को कथित रूप से धोखा देने के लिए रोटॉमैक पेन के मालिक विक्रम कोठारी और उनके बेटे राहुल को गिरफ्तार किया। सीबीआई के सूत्रों ने बताया कि कोठारियों को तीन दिनों तक विस्तृत पूछताछ के बाद गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया जब उन्होंने बैंकों को धोखा देने के लिए इस्तेमाल की जाने वाली कार्यप्रणाली को और अपने बैंक खातों में इसे प्राप्त करने के बाद उन्होंने पैसे का इस्तेमाल कैसे किया यह  बताने से इनकार कर दिया।
