An uproar erupted in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday when BJP MP Amit Shah said in the House that Rajiv Gandhi-signed 1985 Assam Accord was similar to Assam's National Register of Citizen (NRC), the final draft of which was released Monday. He said the Congress didn't have the courage to implement the NRC, in a retaliation to which, the Congress MPs vehemently protested in the house.
