Despite the imminent threat in the form of sanctions by America, India and Russia signed a $5.43 billion deal for five S-400 missile system on Friday during a summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. This deal has come at a time of ongoing tautness between the US and Russia. Given the S-400 system, there will be a tremendous increase in India's strategic capacity and the security cover of the air boundary will be further strengthened.
