Sabarimala devotees went against court's decision

After Supreme Court allowed women of all ages to enter the shrine, the doors of Kerala's Sabarimala temple were opened for the first time on Wednesday, but still, female devotees were stalled from going inside. Due to the vehement protests by traditionalists, the situation outside the temple remained extremely chaotic. Suhasini Raj, a New York Times journalist, also had to retreat as she was besieged by a mob outside the temple.
