The Social Democratic Party of Finland elected 34-year-old former Transport Minister Sanna Marin for the post of Prime Minister. With this, she has become the youngest Prime Minister in the history of the world. Before this, the youngest Prime Minister was Oleksiy Honcharuk, 35 years old from Ukraine. Prior to this, she has been the Transport Minister of Ukraine. Sana won the election on 8 December to replace outgoing leader Antti Rinne, who resigned after losing the confidence of coalition partner Center Party to deal with the postal strike.
