The Supreme Court announced to grant a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to scientist Nambi Narayanan for being implicated by the Kerala Police 24 years ago. In the infamous ISRO espionage case, Mr Narayanan’s name and career were tarnished for which the court also apologised to him profusely. Narayanan said, “I am happy that the judiciary did not let me down."

सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने 24 साल पहले केरल पुलिस द्वारा अपराध में फंसाने और गिरफ्तार किए जाने के लिए वैज्ञानिक नांबी नारायणन को 50 लाख रुपये का मुआवज़ा देने की घोषणा की। ISRO के कुख्यात जासूसी मामले में श्री नारायणन के नाम व करियर को कलंकित किया गया जिसके लिए अदालत ने उनसे बेहद माफ़ी भी मांगी। नारायणन ने कहा, "मुझे खुशी है कि न्यायपालिका ने मुझे निराश नहीं किया।"
