The Supreme Court on Thursday said restrictions on women in religious places were not limited to Sabarimala alone and was prevalent in other religions as well as it referred all review pleas to a larger seven-judge bench. Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, reading the verdict on behalf of himself and Justices A M Khanwilkar and Indu Malhotra, said the larger bench will decide all such religious issues relating to Sabarimala and entry of women in mosques.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने गुरुवार को कहा कि धार्मिक स्थानों पर महिलाओं के लिए प्रतिबंध केवल सबरीमाला तक सीमित नहीं था और अन्य धर्मों में भी प्रचलित था और साथ ही इसने सभी समीक्षा याचिकाओं को सात-न्यायाधीशों की एक बड़ी बेंच के पास भेजा। भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश रंजन गोगोई ने अपनी और जस्टिस ए एम खानविलकर और इंदु मल्होत्रा ​​की ओर से फैसला पढ़ते हुए कहा कि बड़ी पीठ सबरीमाला और मस्जिदों में महिलाओं के प्रवेश से संबंधित ऐसे सभी धार्मिक मुद्दों का फैसला करेगी।
