The Supreme Court has given a one-week warning to all the states for implementing a procedure to prevent cow vigilantism and mob lynching incidents. In July, the apex court had ordered all the states and central governments to take preventive, punitive and remedial measures to stop such "horrendous acts of mobocracy." So far, only 11 States and 7 Union Territories have filed reports on compliance of court's order.
