While Bhutanese athletes had already arrived in Ranchi for training, the uncertainty surrounding Pakistani athletes' participation has led organizers to consider rescheduling the championships to the second or third week of June. This adjustment aims to accommodate the athletes' preparations for the Asian Athletics Championships in South Korea, commencing on May 27. ​
