Supreme Court on Friday rejected the plea seeking to postpone National eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG 2022) examination.The apex court said that the delay would cause the unavailability of doctors and seriously affect patient care.  “There are two categories of students -- one which is seeking postponement and the larger category of over two lakh six thousand candidates -- who would be affected by the postponement after having prepared for the examination", the bench said.It noted that the government is trying to bring back the schedule of examination on time as it was affected due to the pandemic.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने शुक्रवार को स्नातकोत्तर ( NEET-PG 2022) परीक्षा के लिए राष्ट्रीय पात्रता सह प्रवेश परीक्षा स्थगित करने की मांग वाली याचिका खारिज कर दी। शीर्ष अदालत ने कहा कि इस देरी की वजह  से डॉक्टरों की अनुपलब्धता होगी और रोगी देखभाल को गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित करेगा। पीठ ने कहा, "छात्रों की दो श्रेणियां हैं - एक जो स्थगन की मांग कर रही है और दो लाख छह हजार से अधिक उम्मीदवारों की बड़ी श्रेणी - जो परीक्षा की तैयारी के बाद स्थगन से प्रभावित होंगे", पीठ ने कहा। यह ध्यान दिया जाना चाहिए कि महामारी के कारण प्रभावित परीक्षा कार्यक्रम को समय पर  वापस लाने की सरकार  कोशिश कर रही है।
