Uganda cricket team has created history and qualified for the T20 World Cup to be played in 2024. Last Tuesday, the Namibian team had qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 through the Africa Qualifiers. Now the Uganda cricket team has taken steps towards the 2024 T20 World Cup. Uganda became the second team to qualify for the T20 World Cup from the Africa Qualifiers. Uganda qualified for the T20 tournament by defeating Rwanda by 9 wickets and 71 balls in the sixth match of the qualifier. In the qualifiers, Uganda won 5 out of 6 matches. Talking about the match played against Rwanda, the Rwandan team, which came to bat first, was all out by the Ugandan bowlers for 65 runs in just 18.5 overs. Then in reply, while chasing the target, they won by 1 wicket in 8.1 overs. In the first match of the qualifiers, Uganda defeated Tanzania by 8 wickets and 28 balls. Then they lost their next match against Namibia by 6 wickets. However, after this Uganda did not lose any match. In the third match, Uganda defeated Zimbabwe by 5 wickets and 5 balls remaining. Moving ahead, the Ugandan team defeated Nigeria in the fourth match by taking 9 wickets and 15 balls. Then in the fifth match, it defeated Kenya by 33 runs and in the sixth match, it defeated Rwanda by 9 wickets and made itself eligible for the T20 World Cup 2024. In this way, Uganda won the last four consecutive matches.

युगांडा क्रिकेट टीम ने इतिहास रचते हुए 2024 में खेले जाने वाले टी20 वर्ल्ड कप के लिए क्वालिफाई कर लिया है. बीते मंगलवार नामीबिया की टीम ने टी20 विश्व कप 2024 के लिए अफ्रीका क्वालिफायर्स के ज़रिए क्वालिफाई किया था. वहीं अब युगांडा क्रिकेट टीम ने 2024 के टी20 विश्व कप की ओर कदम बढ़ा दिया है. युगांडा अफ्रीका क्वालिफायर्स से टी20 वर्ल्ड कप के लिए क्वालिफाई करने वाली बाद दूसरी टीम बनी. यगांडा ने क्वालिफायर के छठे मुकाबले में रवांडा की टीम को 9 विकेट और 71 गेंदें रहते हुए शिकस्त देकर टी20 टूर्नामेंट के लिए क्वालिफाई किया. क्वालिफायर्स मुकाबलों में युगांडा ने 6 मैचों में से 5 में जीत अपने नाम की. रवांडा के खिलाफ खेले गए मुकाबले की बात करें तो पहले बैटिंग के लिए उतरी रवांडा की टीम को युगांडा के गेंदबाज़ों ने सिर्फ 18.5 ओवर में 65 रनों पर ऑलआउट कर दिया. फिर जवाब में लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए 8.1 ओवर में 1 विकेट पर जीत अपने नाम कर ली. वहीं क्वालिफायर के पहले मुकाबले में युगांडा ने तनजानिया को 8 विकेट और 28 गेंद रहते हुए शिकस्त दी. फिर उन्होंने अपना अगला मुकाबला नामीबिया के खिलाफ 6 विकेट से गंवा दिया. हालांकि इसके बाद युगांडा ने कोई मुकाबला नहीं गंवाया. तीसरे मुकाबले में युगांडा ने ज़िम्बाब्वे को 5 विकेट और 5 गेंद रहते हुए हराया. आगे बढ़ते हुए युगांडा की टीम ने चौथे मैच में नाइजीरिया को 9 विकेट और 15 गेंद रहते हुए धूल चटाई. फिर पांचवें मुकाबले में केन्या से 33 रनों से और छठे में रवांडा को 9 विकेट से रौंद खुद को टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2024 के योग्य बनाया. इस तरह पिछले लगातार चार मुकाबलों में युगांडा ने जीत हासिल की.
