The new Home Secretary of the Government of Tamil Nadu is Mr. S. K. Prabhakar. Mr. Prabhakar, who was earlier Principal Secretary of the Department of Highways and Minor ports, will now be the Principal Secretary of the Home, Prohibition and Excise Department. Earlier, Niranjan Murdy was the Principal Secretary who will retire today. Mr. Prabakar, 53, hails from Virudhunagar and belongs to the 1989 batch.
