After detecting the fatal Nipah Virus outbreak in the state, the Health Department has issued a high alert in Kerala. However,  refuting the rumours of the epidemic, Kerala's health Minister K.K. Shylaja said that the nature of the virus is being ascertained. The government has assured that precautionary measures are being taken to cope with the virus. Unfortunately, there is no medicine and vaccination for the disease. 

राज्य में घातक निपाह वायरस के फैलने का पता लगने के बाद स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने केरल में  हाई अलर्ट जारी कर दिया है। हालांकि, केरल की स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के. के. शैलजा ने महामारी की अफवाहों का खंडन करते हुए कहा कि वायरस की प्रकृति का पता लगाया जा रहा है। सरकार ने आश्वासन दिया है कि वायरस से निपटने के लिए  एहतियाती कदम लिए जा रहे हैं। दुर्भाग्यवश, इस बीमारी के लिए कोई दवा और टीकाकरण नहीं है।
