The government has declined to share information on black money cases received from Switzerland, citing confidentiality. To an RTI query, the ministry said there is no estimation of amount of black money in circulation both inside and outside the country. Replying to an RTI query, the Finance Ministry said India and Switzerland share information on black money on a case-to-case basis as per the investigations being carried out. It is an ongoing process, it added. The ministry was asked to provide details of black money cases received from Switzerland, including the names of firms and individuals, besides the details of action taken on the information.

सरकार ने गोपनीयता का हवाला देते हुए स्विट्जरलैंड से प्राप्त काले धन के मामलों पर जानकारी साझा करने से मना कर दिया है। एक आरटीआई सवाल के अनुसार, मंत्रालय ने कहा कि देश के अंदर और बाहर दोनों जगहों पर  काले धन के प्रचलन की मात्रा का कोई अनुमान नहीं है। वित्त मंत्रालय ने एक आरटीआई के सवाल के जवाब में कहा कि भारत और स्विटजरलैंड काले धन के बारे में केस-टू-केस आधार पर की गई जांच के अनुसार जानकारी साझा करते हैं। यह एक चलती हुई प्रक्रिया है, वित्त मंत्रालय ने जोड़ा। मंत्रालय को स्विट्जरलैंड से प्राप्त काले धन के मामलों का विवरण प्रदान करने के लिए कहा गया था, जिसमें फर्मों और व्यक्तियों के नाम शामिल थे, इसके अलावा सूचना पर कार्रवाई का विवरण भी शामिल था।
