In many areas of the country, people have started feeling the heat in February itself. In many areas, the temperature is being recorded more than normal. Indian Meteorological Department DG Dr. M Mohapatra spoke to NDTV on above normal temperature in North West and Central India. During this, he has given advice to the farmers growing wheat crop. Mohapatra said that in the last week, Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat recorded maximum temperature of 8 degrees above average. He said that due to the anti-cyclonic circulation, the temperature has been much above the average. This is good news for farmers, but the temperature will remain 3 to 5 degrees above average. However, when the temperature is higher than the average, the wheat crop gets ready before time and due to this its yield decreases.
देश के कई इलाकों में फरवरी में ही लोगों को गर्मी का अहसास होने लगा है. कई इलाकों में तापमान सामान्य से ज्यादा रिकॉर्ड किया जा रहा है. उत्तर पश्चिम और मध्य भारत में सामान्य से अधिक तापमान पर भारतीय मौसम विभाग के डीजी डॉ. एम महापात्रा ने एनडीटीवी से बातचीत की. इस दौरान उन्होंने गेहूं की फसल उगाने वाले किसानों को सलाह दी है. महापात्रा ने कहा कि पिछले हफ्ते में गुजरात के सौराष्ट्र और कच्छ इलाके में सबसे ज्यादा औसत से 8 डिग्री ज्यादा तापमान रिकॉर्ड किया गया. उन्होंने कहा कि एंटी-साइक्लोनिक सरकुलेशन की वजह से तापमान औसत से काफी ऊपर रहा है. यह किसानों के लिए अच्छी खबर है, लेकिन तापमान औसत से 3 से 5 डिग्री अधिक ही रहेगा. हालांकि तापमान औसत से ज्यादा होने पर गेहूं की फसल समय से पहले तैयार हो जाती है और इससे उसकी पैदावार घट जाती है.
