This Valentine’s is proving to be remunerative for Indian rose farmers. According to the Indian Society of Floriculture Professionals (ISFP), roses worth Rs 27-30 crore will be exported across the world by Indian rose growers for Valentine’s Day celebrations. Exports this year are higher at Rs 27-30 crore as compared to Rs 23 crore last year and Rs 19 crore in 2017 season, Praveen Sharma, president, ISFP said. The UK continues to remain the largest market for Indian roses, followed by Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, Sharma said. The long winter this year has proven to be a boon for Indian rose growers.More small farmers are getting into floriculture since it is more remunerative. Larger export houses are also sourcing roses from these farmers during Valentine’s, he added.

यह वेलेंटाइन भारतीय गुलाब किसानों के लिए लाभकारी साबित हो रहा है। इंडियन सोसाइटी ऑफ फ्लोरीकल्चर प्रोफेशनल्स (ISFP) के अनुसार, वेलेंटाइन डे के जश्न के लिए भारतीय गुलाब उत्पादकों द्वारा दुनिया भर में 27-30 करोड़ रुपये के गुलाबों का निर्यात किया जाएगा। इस साल का निर्यात 27-30 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक है, जबकि पिछले साल के 23 करोड़ रुपये और 2017 के सीज़न में 19 करोड़ रुपये था, प्रवीण शर्मा, अध्यक्ष, आईएसएफपी ने कहा। शर्मा ने कहा कि भारतीय गुलाबों के लिए ब्रिटेन सबसे बड़ा बाजार बना हुआ है, इसके बाद मलेशिया, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, न्यूजीलैंड और जापान शामिल हैं। इस वर्ष की लंबी सर्दी भारतीय गुलाब उत्पादकों के लिए एक वरदान साबित हुई है। अधिक किसान पुष्पकृषि शुरू कर रहे हैं क्योंकि ये अधिक लाभदायक है। उन्होंने कहा कि वैलेंटाइन के दौरान बड़े एक्सपोर्ट हाउस भी इन किसानों से गुलाब खरीद रहे हैं।
