US President Donald Trump today reimposed sanctions on Iran, that were lifted under the landmark nuclear accord of 2015. Iran has accused America of reneging on the nuclear agreement, signed by the Obama administration, and evoking economic unrest in the country. America's European allies have said that they “deeply regret” this step. However, Trump has said that he is ready to forge a new and "more comprehensive" deal with the Islamic Republic.
