The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to impose a blanket ban on the sale of firecrackers across the country. In a bid to curb pollution, the court said that only 'green' firecrackers will be sold which are less polluting and production of 'lari' like crackers has been debarred. Also, the court has fixed 8 pm to 10 pm time period for the bursting of firecrackers on Diwali.
