Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who was last seen in NTR biopic in the southern film industry, has been confirmed to play the lead role of Indian mathematician genius Shakuntala Devi in her upcoming biopic. The film will be directed by Anu Menon of 'London, Paris, New York' fame and is set for summer 2020 release. Vidya will play the title role in the film. The actress said, "I am extremely excited to play the human computer, Shakuntala Devi, on the big screen. She was truly someone who embraced her individuality, had a strong feminist voice and braved many challenges to reach the pinnacle of success."
