अगर कोई बीमारी से ग्रसित हो तब उस रोग से पहले with का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
I am suffering with stomach pain. (मैं पेट दर्द से पीड़ित हूँ।)

‘By’ का प्रयोग किसी agent या doer (कर्ता) के पहले होता है।

‘By’ के बाद अधिकतर समय gerund (-ing form) का प्रयोग होता है।
He improved his English by reading novels. (उसने उपन्यास पढ़ कर अपनी अंग्रेजी में सुधार किया।)
'By' के बाद transportation या संचार के साधन की बात होती है।
I went to Nepal by flight. (मैं विमान से नेपाल के लिए गया था।)
