A top #defence ministry said on Friday that India, in 2021-22, exported defence items and technology worth a record ₹13,000 crore, an impressive 54.1 per cent rise over the previous year. India's #defenceexports are chiefly to the United States, the Philippines and other countries in the South-East Asia, the Middle-East and Africa. Sanjay Jaju, Additional Secretary in the Department of Defence Production (DDP), told a press briefing, "In 2021-22, we have recorded ₹13,000 crore of exports which is the highest ever exports number that we have recorded in defence." Sanjay Jaju also said that the exports in 2021-22 were almost eight times of what they were about five years ago. India's defence exports were worth ₹8,434 crore in 2020-21, ₹9,115 crore in 2019-20 and ₹2,059 crore in 2015-16.

एक शीर्ष रक्षा मंत्रालय ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि भारत ने 2021-22 में रिकॉर्ड 13,000 करोड़ रुपये की रक्षा वस्तुओं और प्रौद्योगिकी का निर्यात किया, जो पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में 54.1 प्रतिशत की प्रभावशाली वृद्धि है। भारत का रक्षा निर्यात मुख्य रूप से संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका, फिलीपींस और दक्षिण-पूर्व एशिया, मध्य-पूर्व और अफ्रीका के अन्य देशों में होता है। रक्षा उत्पादन विभाग (डीडीपी) के अतिरिक्त सचिव संजय जाजू ने एक प्रेस वार्ता में कहा, "2021-22 में, हमने 13,000 करोड़ रुपये का निर्यात दर्ज किया है जो कि अब तक का सबसे अधिक निर्यात संख्या है जिसे हमने रक्षा में दर्ज किया है।" संजय जाजू ने यह भी कहा कि 2021-22 में निर्यात लगभग पांच साल पहले की तुलना में लगभग आठ गुना था।
