Finance minister #nirmalasitharaman on Tuesday urged the #incometax department to assess tax returns and process tax refunds even faster and redress pending grievances of assessees. She set a new three-point governing principle for the tax department. The minister acknowledged that with use of technology, tax returns are now assessed and refunds are issued quickly but further improvements in this will fetch more goodwill to the department. The minister also told officials to resolve pending grievances. The first Rule is about assessing and processing the tax returns in time quickly, efficiently and systematically, The second Rule is related to speedy refund and the third Rule is related to redressal of grievance.

वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने मंगलवार को आयकर विभाग से टैक्स रिटर्न का आकलन करने और टैक्स रिफंड को और भी तेजी से संसाधित करने और निर्धारितियों की लंबित शिकायतों का निवारण करने का आग्रह किया। उसने कर विभाग के लिए एक नया तीन सूत्री शासी सिद्धांत निर्धारित किया। मंत्री ने स्वीकार किया कि प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग के साथ, अब कर रिटर्न का आकलन किया जाता है और रिफंड जल्दी से जारी किया जाता है, लेकिन इसमें और सुधार से विभाग को और अधिक सद्भावना मिलेगी। मंत्री ने अधिकारियों से लंबित शिकायतों का समाधान करने को भी कहा। पहला नियम टैक्स रिटर्न का समय पर जल्दी, कुशलतापूर्वक और व्यवस्थित रूप से मूल्यांकन और प्रसंस्करण के बारे में है, दूसरा नियम त्वरित वापसी से संबंधित है और तीसरा नियम शिकायत निवारण से संबंधित है।
