"Although" (हालांकि/ यद्यपि) का प्रयोग परिस्थितयों में limitations, मतभेदों और विरोधाभासों (differences and contrasts in situations) को दिखाने के लिए किया जाता है। यह "even though" and "however" के समान ही है और उन्हीं की भांति प्रयोग किया जाता है। जैसे -

Although Mehul is not so rich but he buys costly things. (हालांकि मेहुल इतना अमीर नहीं है, लेकिन वह महंगी चीजें खरीदता है।)
Although Kishor didn't pay attention in the class, yet he succeeded in getting good marks. (यद्यपि किशोर ने कक्षा में ध्यान नहीं दिया, फिर भी वह अच्छे अंक प्राप्त करने मे कामयाब हुआ।)
Although he eats a lot of junk food, yet he keeps his body healthy. (यद्यपि वह जंक फूड बहुत खाता है, फिर भी वह अपने शरीर को स्वस्थ रखता है।)
Although I'm not sure, but I think he will be happy. (हालांकि मुझे यकीन नहीं है, पर मुझे लगता है कि वह खुश हो जाएगा।)
