Mistake (गलती/ गलती करना) - Daily situation में use होने वाला यह सबसे common word है। जब कोई गलती बिना किसी intention के, असावधानी की वजह से हो जाती है तो उसे बताने के लिए mistake का use करते हैं जैसे -

Fault - एक गलती जिसके लिए आप दोषी हो। Fault is generally used to communicate the idea that wrong action was done with intention and possibly, malice. जैसे -
It was not his fault that his team lost the match.

Error - Formal contexts में error का use ज्यादा suitable है। Error का use scientific texts में होता है। Some may consider ‘error’ to be much more severe than ‘mistake’. Error अधिकतर lack of knowledge (जानकारी की कमी) के कारण होता है। जैसे -
The essay contains a number of typing errors. (निबंध में कई टाइपिंग त्रुटियाँ हैं।)

Blunder - ऐसे बड़ी ग़लती जो carelessness की वजह से हुई हो (a careless mistake often unnecessarily or resulting from misjudgment) जैसे -
A last-minute blunder made them to lost the match.
