"Do/ Does not have to" बताता है कि कर्ता को कुछ करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। Don't have to = this is not necessary/ it's okay not to do it. जैसे -
You don't have to buy from him. (आपको उसके पास से खरीदने की जरूरत नहीं है।)
You can come with us to the trip, but you don't have to. (आप यात्रा करने के लिए हमारे साथ आ सकते हैं, लेकिन आपको जरूरत नहीं है।)
She doesn't have to work there. She can quit. (उसको वहाँ काम करने की जरूरत नहीं है। वह छोड़ सकती है।)
I don't have to agree. (मुझे सहमत होने की जरूरत नहीं है।)
जबकि "Must not" कर्ता को कुछ करने से निषिद्ध (prohibited) करता है। Must not = mustn't = this is not allowed / this is against the rules. जैसे -
You mustn't drive further. (आपको आगे ड्राइव नहीं करना चाहिए।)
You mustn't smoke in here. (आपको यहाँ में धूम्रपान नहीं करना चाहिए।)
Kids must not drive. (बच्चों को ड्राइव नहीं करना चाहिए।)
You must not cross the road when there is a red light. (आपको सड़क पार नहीं करना चाहिए जब वहाँ एक लाल बत्ती है।)
