कई बार हम confuse हो जाते हैं कि verb की 1st form का प्रयोग करें या फिर verb + ing form (Gerund). इसी confusion को दूर करने के लिए आज हम कुछ ऐसे phrases सीखते हैं जिनके साथ हम हमेशा Gerund (verb + ing form) का प्रयोग करते हैं -
to be busy - He is busy reading the newspaper. (वह अखबार पढ़ने में व्यस्त है।)
(wrong - to be busy to read)
don't mind - I don't mind telling them my opinion. (मुझे उन्हें मेरी राय बताने में कोई दिक्कत नहीं है।)
(wrong - don't mind to tell)
feel like - I feel like having a cup of tea. (मेरी एक कप चाय लेने की इच्छा हो रही है।)
(wrong - feel like to have)
what about - What about going to the park? (पार्क जाने के बारे में क्या विचार है?)
(wrong - what about to go)
how about - How about walking home instead of taking the car? (कार लेने के बजाय घर चल कर जाने के बारे में क्या विचार है?)
(wrong - how about to walk)
