2) दो independent clauses को जोड़ने के लिए भी semicolon का use होता है जैसे -
I went to the grocery store today. I bought a ton of fruit. Apples, grapes, and pears were on sale. इस sentence को semicolon का use कर इस तरह से लिख सकते हैं -
I went to the grocery store today; I bought a ton of fruit. Apples, grapes, and pears were all on sale.
OR
I went to the grocery store today. I bought a ton of fruit; apples, grapes, and pears were all on sale.
पर इस तरह लिखना गलत होगा -
I went to the grocery store today; I bought a ton of fruit; apples, grapes, and pears were all on sale.
